Children’s Museum Open July 4 for Family Play

The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum (MMCM) in Saginaw will host the popular PNC Grow Up Great – “Learning is All Around Me!” Mobile Learning Adventure (MLA) traveling exhibit on Saturday, July 4, 2015, from noon until 5:00 pm.  The Mobile Learning Adventure provides an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn about the importance of early childhood education while they engage in fun activities with their children. The MLA includes interactive kiosks and the “When I Grow Up” station, where kids dress up as different professionals and have their picture superimposed on an appropriate background.  In addition, parents can take home activity books and learning kits that demonstrate how to take everyday moments and turn them into learning opportunities. All activities inside the Mobile Learning Adventure are free and open to the public.  In addition, families may enjoy $5.00 discounted admission to the MMCM all day!  Try blowing bubbles in the new outdoor pavilion, assemble a pop-rocket, create a Gnome Home in the Art Mart and enjoy a popcorn snack!  All activities are included with regular admission and free for MMCM members!

The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum places priority on Play and Learn experiences through teamwork, creativity and curiosity for children from birth to 12 years of age. Special rates are available for groups who pre-schedule visits to the MMCM.  The MMCM is also an ideal location for field trips, scout troops, birthday parties, family reunions and corporate events.  Evening rentals are available. Annual memberships, with reciprocal benefits at 300 children’s museums nationwide, may be purchased by families who enjoy frequent visits.

The MMCM website features visitor information, membership options, program schedules, volunteer and donation opportunities. The MMCM is located at 315 West Genesee Avenue in Saginaw, 989-399-6626.
