Cub Scouts Earn Belt Loops at the Children’s Museum in Saginaw

Back by popular demand! The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum is hosting a Belt-A-Palooza on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, from 5:30 – 8:00 pm, at 315 West Genesee Avenue in Saginaw.  Cub Scouts can learn new skills, have fun and earn scouting recognition too!  Belt loops are a great way to help fulfill the aims of Scouting – to build character, develop citizenship and encourage mental and physical fitness.  Get to know a subject that is new to you: Music, Art or Science! The cost is $12 per scout and includes your choice of 2 belt loops, music, art or science.

Admission for the adults and siblings who accompany each scout to play in the Museum is $6.00.  Siblings who would like to participate with the scouts may pay the $12.00 belt loop fee.

Pre-paid reservations are required on or before Wednesday, July 17, 2013, for this fun, evening Cub Scout event. Call the MMCM 989.399.6626 or visit the website to learn more and print the reservation form

Children learn best at their own pace and direct, hands-on, interactive experiences are the most powerful method of learning!  Nine custom designed galleries featuring solar energy, the human body, art, automobiles, water and agriculture present familiar themes that will engage the imagination of children from birth to 12 years of age. Special rates are available for groups who pre-schedule visits to the MMCM.  The MMCM is also an ideal location for play groups, scout troops, field trips, birthday parties, family reunions and corporate events.  Annual memberships may be purchased by families who plan frequent visits.
