All aboard! The Saginaw River Valley Railroad Club is coming to the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum for the third year beginning on Sunday, February 9, 2014 until Saturday, March 1, 2014. Modular HO gauge model railroads will be on display for the public to enjoy. Members will be on hand during selected times to answer questions, promote railroading as a hobby, and tell the history of railroads in Michigan and the United States. The Saginaw River Valley Railroad Club has one of the largest traveling displays of HO layouts in the United States and is the oldest modular club in Saginaw County, celebrating 36 years of model railroading in 2014.
Among the modules on display will be a working drive-in theater, a zoo and a large grain elevator. The described events are included with regular paid admission, free to MMCM members.
