SPRING BREAK Book Fair to Fund Children’s Literacy Programs

SAGINAW, MI – March 17, 2016: The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum (MMCM) and the READ Association of Saginaw County will host a Book Fair on Wednesday, March 30 and Thursday, March 31 from 10am to 4pm at MMCM, 315 W. Genesee Ave., Saginaw. A large variety of books priced at $4.99 and up will be available for purchase from Usborne Books & More. Proceeds support children’s literacy programs in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Usborne Books & More delivers educational excellence through a great product line for readers of all ages! Shoppers may visit the Book Fair at no-charge, or bring the family along for Play and Learn fun. MMCM admission is $7.50/person, and children under 2 play free. MMCM guests will enjoy special literacy activities both days of the Book Fair. Join story time on Wednesday, March 30 at 10am, and Thursday, March 31 at 1pm. Guests visiting anytime Wednesday will get to make a journal, and a bookmark on Thursday, in the Children’s Museum’s Art Mart. Show your book purchase receipt and receive a discount coupon for your next visit to the Children’s Museum!

READ and MMCM will receive $5 for every $10 spent on book purchases. Books may also be ordered online beginning immediately and through April 3 by visiting www.bookswithsonja.com and clicking on READ & Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum. Have your books shipped to the MMCM for free, or you may have books shipped directly to your address for an additional charge.

The locally published Z to A in the Great Lakes Bay book will be available for purchase in the MMCM Gift Shop. The delightful, colorful book highlights over 70 locations and things to do in the communities that comprise the Great Lakes Bay Region. Readers both young and young-at-heart will enjoy going on this alphabet adventure! The retail price of the book is $12.
