Preschool and Elementary Students Welcome at the Children’s Museum

The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum in Saginaw is pleased to announce several field trip scholarship opportunities for pre-school and elementary students to visit the region’s premier Play and Learn destination. Generous donors include: Altrusa International, Chemical Bank, Dow Corning Donor Advised Fund, FirstMerit, James R. and Anita Horne Jenkins Family Foundation, and S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc. MMCM guests will discover 10 interactive, Play and Learn galleries where children use their curiosity and creativity to learn about the world. Recent gallery additions include the mysterious Evaporation Station, the attractive Macro Magnet Wall, and the iridescent Marble Panel!  With funds from the Bay Area Community Foundation the MMCM has purchased numerous adaptive elements to increase independent, self-determined play for children with sensory-integrative disorders and physical disabilities.

Public and parochial elementary and preschool teachers may contact the MMCM to schedule a field trip and learn about the scholarship options. Individual donors may have defined specific criteria for their admission scholarships. Located at 315 West Genesee Avenue, in Saginaw, the MMCM is open from 9:30 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 5 pm on Sunday and closed every Monday.  Contact the MMCM          989-399-6626 or visit the website www.michildrensmuseum.com for more information.
