Cone Zone Fatigue is beginning to affect the attendance at the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum! We are spreading the word that the MMCM is open during the Michigan – West Genesee Avenue construction phase beginning Monday, September 16.
As a reward for navigating the detour route, Museum guests will earn $1.00 off regular admission through Friday, October 31, 2013. Mention “construction deduction” to the receptionists and receive the discount. MMCM members who visit on or before October 31, 2013, will receive a coupon to extend their membership one extra month at the time of renewal (limited to one (1) coupon per membership). Not a MMCM Member? Purchase a membership on or before October 31, 2013, and receive one extra month for your efforts.
The MMCM is closed until Monday, September 16, 2013, for annual cleaning and repairs. During this time, technicians from Nexteer Automotive are busy re-painting the vehicles in the Auto Works Gallery. ATS Printing will install a vibrant, stylized regional map in the Auto Works Gallery as well. Plans are underway for Phase II of the Solar Spot installation. A dramatic outdoor pavilion will be built in the south lawn of the MMCM. Solar panels and a fun, solar flair will draw attention to the benefits of solar energy while providing an outdoor space for children and families. Area businesses, foundations and corporations are funding this new outdoor gallery.
The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum is located at 315 West Genesee Avenue in Saginaw. The MMCM places priority on teamwork, creativity and critical thinking through discovery-based learning for children from birth to 12 years of age. Special rates are available for groups who pre-schedule visits to the MMCM. The MMCM is also an ideal location for field trips, scout troops, birthday parties, family reunions and corporate events. Evening rentals are available. Annual memberships may be purchased by families who plan frequent visits. Contact the MMCM 989-399-6626.
