Team One brings A-Mazing Airways to the Children’s Museum

Representatives from Team One Credit Union presented the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum with a check for $10,000 on December 11, 2013.  The generous donation caps off a campaign to purchase and install the  A-Mazing Airways gallery inside the Children’s Museum located at 315 West Genesee Avenue in Saginaw.

After the gallery installation in January, 2014, visitors, young and not so young, can experiment with air and wind energy in an engaging way that encourages exploration and discovery. Children will investigate the power of moving air and pneumatics, and gain knowledge about the importance and power of air in their world.  In addition, the children will discover familiar links between air and water. The A-Mazing Airways is a custom gallery designed and installed by MindSplash Inventive Playscapes, located in Naperville, Illinois.

Gerald Hutto, Team One Credit Union President & CEO along with Pat O’Toole, Team One Board Chairman, both acknowledged the similarity between the A-Mazing Airways gallery and the pneumatic tubes used by Team One members for transactions in the drive-through lanes and branch lobbies. Team One Credit Union has been a strong supporter of educational and community programs since it was founded by teachers back in 1935.

Additional funding for the A-Mazing Airways gallery exhibit was provided by Midland based Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation and Saginaw Community Foundation.

The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum places priority on teamwork, creativity and critical thinking through discovery-based learning for children from birth to 12 years of age.
